Monday, May 11th
We have been loving life at home lately! Avery continues to thrive and get stronger everyday! She is enjoying getting to finish up Kindergarten online with her class and teacher. She loves playing outside multiple times a day with her sisters and going for Jeep rides with her Daddy. She is an absolute joy to be around, and she brings so much light to our family!
She is still on 12hr feeds as her appetite still isn't where it needs to be. She lost around 1lb when we first moved to this schedule, but she has been holding steady ever since. We are encouraging her to eat and drink often. Her biggest encouragement to start eating will be swimming and water balloon fights this summer. She only battles with nausea a couple of times a week, and we are hoping this will completely subside soon.
Next week is a big week for Avery! We will return to clinic on Wednesday(5/20) to draw labs and meet with our oncology team. Please pray for anxiety and protection as we go to clinic. Avery hasn't been to Clinic 8 at all this year, so it will be unfamiliar to her which is always a little scary.
Friday, May 22nd is the day we really need you to focus your prayers on! Avery will have her 3 month MRIs and Lumbar Puncture(depending on OR availability). We need Avery's tests to show a CLEAR brain, a CLEAR spine, and CLEAR spinal fluid!

Fun times with Avery's sisters. She is a joy to see that smiling face. My prayers continue for al the upcoming medical trips, to be safe, to be clear, and eating to improve. Love and stay strong.
