We are slowly getting back into the swing of things and reestablishing our everyday routine. As stressful as our morning routine is, I have enjoyed getting to take the big girls to school. Shon and I both started back to work yesterday which has been a nice distraction from everything else going on. I am very blessed that my company has allowed me to telecommute for the past 9 years, so Avery is able to stay at home and recover.

Avery is recovering well! Her nausea has finally subsided, and she has been spending the day doing arts and crafts, some learning activities, and watching YouTube(her favorite). We plan to begin focusing more on school work as her energy levels allow. She was so excited to begin kindergarten this year! We want to ensure that when she is well enough to join her class that she is right where she needs to be. Her teacher and school have been so supportive which has helped take any additional stress off of us right now.
Avery's appetite is slowly returning, and she is eating a little bit more each day. Fruit Loops and Mac and cheese have become staples in her diet since coming home. Getting her to take in enough fluids has been a bit of a struggle, so that is something we will continue to push. The past 2 days she has stolen the last sip of my morning coffee(mostly creamer), so we may have to switch to decaf and make it a habit:)
We can't express how appreciative we are for all of the calls, texts, messages, meals, thoughts and prayers. Our friends and neighbors have provided us dinner nearly every night since we went to the hospital. Avery has been showered with more gifts than she or we could ever imagine. The outpouring of love from our family, friends, work, community, and perfect strangers has been amazing!

As we approach our next appointment on Friday, please specifically pray for :
1. No anxiety for Avery as we return to the hospital for further tests
2. A clear spinal MRI showing no tumors on her spine
3. A clear spinal tap showing no cancer cells present in her spinal fluid
So glad to hear she is feeling somewhat better. Avery & your family is in our thoughts and prayers 🙏💜😇
