Wednesday, October 2nd
We arrived at clinic at 8am this morning. Avery's vitals were perfect, and her weight remained the same as Monday. She did much better today getting her port accessed! There were still some objections and tears, but she held perfectly still which made it a quick process. Labs were drawn and fluids were hooked up. Due to her good behavior, Ms. Chloe rewarded her with a new Lego set.
We played with Legos until it was time for her audiologist appointment. Unlike last time, she knew what to expect, and she was a model patient. Thankfully the tests showed that her hearing was perfect, and there were no changes since the last test!
By 11:30 we were told that our labs looked good; we signed the admitting paperwork and were taken to our room on the 8th floor. Last round it was closer to 3:30 when all of this transpired, so it was nice that things moved so quickly.

We spent the rest of the day playing, crafting, and watching movies. She continued to be a good patient complying with vitals. The highlight of her day was probably the visit from Buddy the dog. She enjoyed petting and snuggling with him for as long as she could.

She received her 1st chemo Vincristine, followed by her 2nd Cisplatin. She will receive a magnesium bolus and fluids overnight. She started getting grumpy as it got later, and thankfully fell asleep shortly before 9. We are hoping for a restful night.
Please continue to pray for:
- Little to no side effects(especially nausea and vomiting)
- No hearing loss/damage from the Cisplatin
- A restful night(for us both)
- Continued cooperation with me and the nurses
Continued prayers and love for you all! I am happy she handled this time better; God bless that sweet angel and her family!
Thankful for the good report! Comforted by her beautiful smile! Praying every day!
Sounds like a really good day. I hope you were both able to get some sleep. I love the purple hat. She looks great in it. Continued prayers for all. 🙏❤️
She’s a trooper and will continue our prayers for restful days ahead for everyone and the meds do their thing without side effects. God bless you all 🙏🏻
Prayers going up for all that you asked for. We serve an awesome God. Be bold in your desires for your precious child, Avery. Prayers for those at home. Hope you have some great help at home.
