Avery had a better night last night. She was still restless and crying with some throat pain, but she’s had no more vomiting! She tolerated the Pedialyte through her tube, so we have been able to keep her properly hydrated.
Unfortunately, she spiked a fever sometime after noon so we are back at Childrens for a stay. She lasted about 30 minutes longer at home than she did last cycle. We were seen quickly in the ER and put into an ER room where they drew labs and started antibiotics. That’s where the expediency ended though, and we spent the next 4+ hours waiting to be moved to our room on the 8th floor. Luckily Avery slept through the majority of it.

We were greeted by familiar faces and got settled in quickly. Fluids were started and her nightly meds were given. Her ANC was zero(which we already knew) and her platelets were down to 54. We will likely require a transfusion tomorrow.
We will be here for a while until her counts start to rise again. Hopefully when that happens, they’ll transfer us to the bone marrow unit for her stem cell collection.

Please pray for:
- No more fever
- ANC to rise
- Rest
- Continue to keep her nausea under control
Prayers and love for Avery and her team!🙏❤️
Continued prayers for Avery. Pray for no infection and stem cell procedure to go well
Thankful for Avery’s Mom. Praying for healing and restoration.
Thoughts and prayers this morning for your sweet Avery but also for you. You must be so exhausted. Having a special needs child (now adult) and recalling the first year of her life, in and out of hospitals, I have just a tiny glimpse into what your exhaustion levels must be. So, prayers for both of you as you continue this journey. Only by the grace of God! ❤️
God bless you all. You are always in my prayers everyday. Praying for sweet Avery to have no more fever, for ANC to rise, no more nausea, and for rest for your sweet baby girl and rest for you and your family. I pray for God’s peace to surround you and I continue to ask God for a miracle for this precious child.
