Avery struggled with pain last night and had one episode of vomiting. She continued to spike fevers throughout the night. Between the pain, fevers, and extra vital checks(due to platelet transfusion), she was extremely restless.
Her blood counts looked good this morning. Her electrolytes are still a little off, and they are managing that with K-Phos packets, a mag bolus, and a sodium phosphate bolus today. Her cultures continue to show no growth, and her ANC remains at zero.
She has still battled with fever off and on all day with the highest temperatures reaching 104.3 this morning and 103 tonight. They are still unsure as to what is causing the fevers. They ordered fungal cultures to cover all of their bases, and switched her Fluconazole to Vorconizole for extra coverage in case it is a fungal source.
Her mucositis looks worse than yesterday, but she did manage a few sips of Coke today and a few bites of ice cream. This was a big deal as she hasn't put anything in her mouth in multiple days! Once her counts start to come up though, this will clear very quickly.
She did feel some better in between fevers today. She felt up to playing some games, painting, and joining our friends from Smile-a-Mile for a Thanksgiving craft.

She was exhausted from the day and fell asleep early. She's already received her nightly Neupogen injection, so hopefully I can move her to her bed without waking her. Her little body needs as much rest as it can get to recover. She has a big next couple of weeks including stem cell collection and scans.
Please continue to pray for:
- ANC to begin rising
- No more vomiting
- No more fever
- Pain management
- Rest
Love your turkey, great job, love and prayers for more rest
