Today was a roller coaster kind of day full of ups and downs. Avery was sick more than usual having about 5-6 episodes of vomiting. Her methotrexate level was .13 which means we have to stay one more night(clearance is less than .1).
Thankfully, we were able to sprinkle in some fun in between the bouts of sickness. She made buttons with Smile-A-Mile. She went to teddy bear clinic and received a new stuffed puppy to practice medicine on. We won another puppy at the claw machine, and we even threw in a game of air hockey. The highlight of her day, though, was loving on her new friends Angus and Olive:)

All of the fun and the previous days had taken a toll, so she slept the majority of the evening. As she and I were getting ready to move from the couch to her bed for the night, some of her tubing got caught and pulled on her port. It was pulled out enough that the fluids she was receiving began running down her shirt. They tried to flush it which confirmed that it was no longer in there properly which meant they had to replace the external line(noodle). This would have happened tomorrow anyway since we were going home, but it was a traumatic way to have it done(especially at midnight).
We share the happy, fun, smiling pictures because that's what we hope she remembers one day...it's what we hope to remember as well. But, it is so incredibly difficult to watch your baby suffer. It is something that no one, let alone a child, should ever have to endure.
Please continue to pray for our sweet girl!

Hugs and prayers! Precious little one. 💕
NOBODY should ever have to watch a child suffer, and I cannot even imagine what you are going through right now. She is beautiful, and I pray for her numbers to improve, her feeling herself to return, and good reports as you wait to go home! Blessings for you, Shon, the girls, and I hope you feel the love and prayers being sent each day! Those little doggies made her smile for sure!
Sorry to hear about the sickness, but the happy pictures are great! Praying daily! 💕💕
Praying for you all!
My heart breaks for you all. I pray for you as you go through this with your precious Avery. It has to be the most difficult experience for a parent to watch their child go through this. Praying for you to be home soon so that your family can be together. Praying for a miracle!
