Tuesday, November 12th
Avery had another restful night last night. Unfortunately she woke up vomitting first thing this morning, but a dose of Ativan stopped the nausea and put her back to sleep until after 8am.
Almost all of her labs came back low this morning. She needed blood, platelets, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and calcium. All were taken care of via fluids and supplements except for the blood and platelets. She received platelets this afternoon because her protocol has a defined threshold, but they were still hesitant to stop her bicarb fluids long enough to receive a blood transfusion. It typically takes 3-4 hrs for a blood transfusion, so we will wait until tomorrow when she has hopefully cleared her Methotrexate. Her level was down to .18. It will be an extremely close call on whether or not we clear on Wednesday(must be lower than .1).

Above is what a 3000mL bag of fluid looks like. Avery is currently receiving a little over 1 1/4 of these per 24 hours.
She battled with a little more nausea during the afternoon, but tiredness and low energy were her main issues today. We managed to squeeze in a little fun in between naps including Bingo with Smile-a-Mile, air hockey, and looking at the Christmas decorations. The day left her exhausted and asking to go to bed at 9:15.

Please continue to pray for:
- Clear the Methotrexate tomorrow
- No fever or nausea
- Rest
- Energy to be restored after transfusion
Prayers for a good night’s rest tonight for Avery and Mom. Also, prayers for Dad and the twins. I know all of this is very difficult for the entire family. My prayer is for each of you to rest well and for Avery to sleep through the night without any nausea or fever and for the methotrexate to clear tomorrow. Also, prayers for Avery’s energy to be restored after the transfusion. God bless you all. Continuing to pray for complete healing!
Glad she was able to get out of bed for a little while for some fun. Continued prayers for all of you. 😘
