Wednesday, October 9th

Avery cleared her Methotrexate which means we were cleared to go home! After packing, being taught how to administer IV meds at home, and her last dose of Vincristine, we were gone!

She has still been vomiting multiple times a day, and we are hoping that will improve the further we get out from the chemo. She spent the better part of the afternoon/evening sleeping on the couch.

This round really took a toll on her. Her ANC was already 240 when we left the hospital, so it is plummeting fast. We are hoping to avoid having to go back in with neutropenia, but only time will tell. We hope to enjoy some quiet days at home before we head back to clinic Friday to have her counts checked. For now though, we will enjoy being under one roof as a family of 5.

Please continue to pray for:

- No more nausea and vomiting

- No fevers

- Rest for all of us

- Please also say an extra special prayer for a family we met on the floor this past week. Their sweet baby Mary Frances went to be with Jesus today.

Prayers for you, Avery, your older girls and for your rock, Shon! I cannot imagine what this is like for you, but I know that prayer works, and that God is in charge. It's hard to "Let go and give it to God," but that is what Deb Richey told me years ago! I believe she was so right. Deb and I have been friends for many, many years, and I know she is a strong and Godly woman. I love her and all the family! I hope that your time at home is the best! I pray that you all get some rest, and feel the comfort of home and the familiar! She looks so at peace …

Thank you for taking time to keep us updated. I don’t know how you have time to update us. I am so sorry that this sweet angel is going through all she does. I do know that God healing hand is with her. I’m continuing to praying for her, and the family.
