Wednesday, January 20th
Avery did great job this morning getting accessed! All of her labs have improved since they were last checked two weeks ago. Her ANC is up to 1800. Her hemoglobin has risen from the 8s to the 10s, and her platelets have increased from 35 to 49.
Unfortunately her platelets need to be around 100 in order to begin chemo. We will check counts again next week to see if she has recovered enough. Platelets are usually the last to recover, and they have been the biggest issue for Avery this go around.
Avery is officially off of all medicines for the time being. We were able to stop her steroid and her anti-nausea medicine nearly a week ago. We have seen a decline in her energy and appetite, but that is to be expected. She's still receiving 24 hour continuous feeds through her g-tube, so we know she is getting the nutrition and hydration she needs to stay strong.

- Fully recovered counts
- Energy
- Protection from illnesses and germs
This is just a bump in the road; she will spring back ASAP with energy and counts! She may have left some energy in Mickey and Minnie's park, but Mama can build that back in no time! Prayers for no infection and all counts to improve!!!
