Avery's stomach issues finally seem to have subsided, and she has slept well the past couple of nights. She has also felt like playing a little more which is always an encouraging sign.
We arrived at clinic at 8:30 this morning. We had made a deal about earning a prize, and she did perfectly getting her vitals taken. She is a little over 40 lbs now and nearly 4 foot tall. She did incredible getting her port accessed and didn't even flinch. It is amazing what some good rest and a bribe can do!
Her numbers unfortunately were terrible. Her platelets had fallen to 49, and her ANC was 370. This puts her in the category of neutropenic again and extremely susceptible to illness and infections. We had to restart the Neupogen injections and will give them today, tomorrow, and Sunday to boost her ANC. She received a platelet transfusion before we headed home. Her hemoglobin had dropped a good bit since Wednesday as well but not quite enough to require a transfusion.
We will return to Clinic on Monday for labs again, and hopefully by Wednesday, she will be ready to be admitted to begin chemo.
She fell asleep in the car and rested some this afternoon. She also played with Legos, and we painted her fingernails tonight. We are looking forward to a nice weekend at home with no fevers(prayers).
Please continue to pray for:
- No fevers
- Protection from infections and illness
- Counts to properly recover
- Complete healing
