Avery was restless and cried out a lot last night, but she managed not to vomit any overnight. She did wake up at 6am vomiting and in pain though. They were able to give her something for both which let her rest until later in the morning. They increased her Bendaryl/Ativan drip again to .7 to gain better control over her nausea. Her ANC was down to 10 this morning, so we are about to hit the worst days of the side effects. They stopped her Vancomycin since she has been fever free for 48hrs. It is very likely that it will be added back at some point in time, but it will at least give her kidneys a rest.
She vomited 6 times today with most of it being mucous from the mucositis. Her mouth and throat are starting to hurt a lot more. She required 5 doses of morphine throughout the day to control her pain. Her skin is still very red and itchy. She spent the majority of the day sleeping when she could.

She managed to sit up and do Legos for 5-10 minutes tonight before tiring out. Even as terrible as she has felt, she still managed to squeeze out a couple of smiles . We got her nightly bath, and she was sound asleep by 9pm. Her platelets were down to 39 this afternoon, so she is currently receiving a transfusion. We are praying for an uneventful night.
Please continue to pray for:
- No more vomiting or diarrhea
- No fevers
- Pain management
- Rest
