Sunday, February 16th
Avery slept better last night than she has in weeks! She slept from 10:30pm to almost 9:30am and didn't wake for vitals or labs at all.
Her ANC was 840 this morning, so she required a dose of IV Neupogen/Filgrastim. She didn't require any transfusions today. There were no changes to her medical course of action, so it was just a day of rest.
She enjoyed playing Tag with Ryan, Tic-Tac-Toe, Candyland, painting, and finishing some Lego sets we started a few weeks ago.
Tomorrow we will discuss if they believe her gut is ready to tolerate feeds and meds yet and make a decision regarding inserting another NG tube. Since she won't take anything by mouth, it really is just trial and error on whether or not she can tolerate something. We finally took the dressing off from her last tube today which was the only pain point of the day.
Her MRIs are tentatively scheduled for Friday, February 21st. She will have full brain and spine MRIs along with a Lumbar Puncture (if her platelets and ANC are high enough).

Please continue to pray for:
- No more vomiting
- Tolerate nutrition and medicines
- Clean scans
- Rest
Lori Beth, I so appreciate you sharing this story every day. I find myself praying for Avery and your family all through the day as a result. I believe she gets her tenacity from you! Both of you are fighters. I am believing with you and Shon that her scan results confirm good health and recovery!
She looks so great today! Praying for nutrition and medication with no vomiting, clean scans and rest.
So happy she got some Much needed rest and hopefully mom and dad did too. Still praying for complete healing and praying for all you have listed above. She looks so good.💗💗🙏🙏🙏🙏
