Tuesday, February 18th
Avery had a decent night last night. She had a little trouble sleeping but was only up a couple of times. She received a platelet transfusion around 4am, but managed to sleep through most of the vitals.
Her ANC was 1360 today. Mid-morning, we increased her feeds to 7mL and then increased again late this afternoon to 10mL per hour. We will hold at this rate until sometime tomorrow. She has tolerated everything well so far, but advancing past 10mL has been where we have run into issues in the past. There were no changes to her meds today, but they did decrease her TPN this evening to account for the increase in feeds.
Overall, she had a good day. She was in a much better mood and spent most of the day playing. She didn't even take a nap this afternoon although she was close to falling asleep a couple of times.
We are still waiting on confirmation on whether they can work her in for the MRIs on Friday or if they will need to alter the plan. A brain and spine MRI takes a little over 2 1/2 hours not including anesthesia and recovery, so it is very difficult to get on the schedule.
