Tuesday, February 25th
Avery's day started out at 2:30am with a blood transfusion. The constant vitals required made for a few hours of very poor sleep. Thankfully, she was in a great mood when she woke up and realized the tooth fairy had come! Her ANC was 760 this morning, so she required a dose of Neupogen. Her magnesium levels were also low, so she received a supplement via IV.
She felt great most of the day! She had fun playing games and doing Legos. The highlight of her day was making fluffy slime with Ms. Lindsay. She knew the recipe by heart and said it turned out perfectly.
We increased her feeds to 35mL/hr, and she has tolerated that rate well today. We will increase again tomorrow. She has to show she can tolerate a certain rate before we can go home. Hopefully that is just a couple of days away.
Her Lumbar Puncture results came back clear, so that was great news! The radiologist has read her scans, but we are waiting on our oncologist to read them and provide the final results. Hopefully that will happen tomorrow.
She finally succumbed to a nap around 5pm. The excitement from the day and her afternoon dose of Benadryl did her in. She napped until sometime after 7.
Hopefully she shouldn't require any type of transfusions over night which will allow for a better night of sleep.

Thankful that Avery felt like having some fun today. Prayers for another restful night and a great report from her oncologist.
Praying for this sweet baby. Praying that scans be clean and medicines and nutrition be tolerated as need. It is time to go home.
