Avery slept well again last night. Her Benadryl schedule got adjusted somehow, so she has been getting an 8am dose the past two days. This led to her sleeping in again until 10:15. Her ANC was 710 this morning. They held off on giving her Neupogen, but they will give her a dose tomorrow to get us through the weekend. She didn't require any transfusions, but she will receive a platelet transfusion in the morning.
We switched over her Benadryl and Zofran from IV to NG tube. These were her last scheduled IV meds. We left her feeds an 45mL/hr. She is tolerating them so well, and I didn't want to risk "rocking the boat". We will slowly continue to increase them to her goal rate at home.
HOME.... we are scheduled to be discharged tomorrow! Nutrition and meds were the only things keeping us here, so we are ready to go. We will still be coming to clinic multiple times as week, but it will be so nice to sleep in our own beds!
We were finally able to speak with Avery's oncologist this afternoon, and her scans are clear! The radiologist had noted an area near the tumor bed that had previously been mentioned and also noted an enhancement in contrast. Without evaluation from the oncologist, we were worried about what this indicated. He assured us that the area near the tumor bed has remained consistent in shape and size since her resection. This is likely scar tissue and nothing to worry about. He also clarified that her entire brain was enhanced by contrast which is very likely due to the time that contrast was given in relation to when the scan occurred. The Nationwide Board(for the study) as well as the Tumor Board here at Children's will be reviewing her scans early next week. Dr. Friedman doesn't expect their evaluation of the scans to differ from his, but it is always nice to have lots of extra set of eyes.

Please continue to pray for:
- Tolerate nutrition and medicines
- Protection from germs and illnesses
- Easy transition back into home life
Going Home!! Two great words prayers to be continued for rest, protection from germs, Tolerate nutrition and medicines, love to all
