Avery continues to do well healing at home. She is still dealing with some stomach issues, but we are keeping those controlled. She is up to 52mL/hr on her feeds. We should have her at her goal rate by the end of the weekend.
She had a Clinic appointment this morning at 8am. Her platelets were 52 and her ANC was 750, so she required both a platelet transfusion and an infusion of Neupogen. Everything moved pretty quickly, and we were home by noon. We have a break from Clinic until Tuesday.
Avery's MRI was reviewed by a whole host of people this week. It was reviewed by 2 radiologists from Nationwide Children's Hospital, the Neuro-Oncology team at Children's of Alabama, 2 Neuro-radiologists and the tumor board which included the Neurosurgeon who performed Avery's initial resection. They all agreed with Dr. Friedman's assessment that the area around the tumor bed that was previously noted did not appear to be disease or recurrence of disease.
Once again we can't stress our gratitude enough for the love, support, and prayers during these past 7 months. I will continue to update the blog when we have medical news to share, but it will not be updated on a daily basis any longer. We are eager to move back to private life as we work to establish our new normal. Please continue to keep Avery and all of the families struggling through childhood cancer in your prayers.

Please continue to pray for:
- Protection from germs and illness
- Rest
- Continued healing
Praying daily for Avery’s needs to be met. Praying for all children who are victims of cancer and their families. Enjoy your time at home.
Your sweet family will continue to be in my prayers. So thankful your family can spend some much needed time at home doing things you all enjoy. God bless you all!
Pray Averys health continues to improve and all of you have peace and rest.
We will continue to keep Sweet Avery and her precious family in our prayers!!!! Thank you for sharing your story with everyone!!!! We must bare each other's burdens!!!! We all become stronger through prayer!!!!
This is such good news. You all are always in our prayers. I am so glad she is healing and while her battle continues, she and your family have fought a good fight. I can’t even fathom how difficult this has been. But her strength is admirable as is yours. Thank you for the updates on Avery, I am glad to hear a normality is on the agenda.
